Dr. James Hankins is a Professor of History at Harvard University. Dr. Hankin's main research interests are the history of political thought, the history of philosophy, and history of the classical tradition. he is the Founder and General Editor of the I Tatti Renaissance Library (Harvard University Press). Some of his publications include "Virtue Politics: Soulcraft and Statecraft in the Italian Renaissance" (2019); "Political Meritocracy in Renaissance Italy" (2023); and "The Golden Thread: A History of the Western Tradition, vol. 1".
