Name
"The U.S. Constitution: Its Principles and History"
Description

This lecture will address the problems that led to the Constitutional Convention of 1787 (federative, federal, and republican) and how the features of the Constitution addressed them (popular sovereignty, federalism, separation of powers/checks and balances, enumeration, etc.). Along the way, we may mention how those principles have (or have not) been maintained in the ensuing two and a half centuries.
