The Classics department cordially invites you to the 2023 Grace Starry West Lecture in Classics. Our guest speaker this year is Joshua T. Katz (American Enterprise Institute; formerly, Cotsen Professor in the Humanities at Princeton University). A linguist by training, a classicist by profession, and a comparative philologist at heart, Professor Katz has written widely on the languages, literatures, and cultures of the ancient, medieval, and modern world. Professor Katz will offer a lecture on the Agamemnon, a tragedy by the fifth-century B.C. Athenian playwright, Aeschylus. View the flyer here.
