This show centers on a group of intimate portraits of the artist’s friends
and family. These are non-commissioned works, painted for pleasure
from live sittings over the course of many studio visits and enjoyable
conversations. These conversations were paralleled by dialogues
between painter and canvas, as the works themselves developed their
independent voices.
